Rough running 6.0 PSD, untill it warms up

Alot of guys on here will try to push Hot Shot (snake oil) and I have read the posts in this thread. It could possibly be stiction and it could need the latest computer flash. I am more enclined to start looking at the more simple, fundamental things that could be wrong before I point to computer problems and stiction.
Try the simple fix first. If you are using heavy oil 15W40 change your oil. Put in a synthetic like Mobil-1 (says turbo diesel truck oil right on the bottle) Your injectors are oil operated, if 15W40 is cold it will be too thick and slow to operate the injectors completely till it is warmed up.
I don't care to for to the Tech unless I have to (that costs money). Put a good dose of fuel treatment in the tank. I use Ford Motorcraft winter treatment but there are alot of good products out there that provide the same benefit.
