Drive Shafts

Most questions about the rear shafts.
Firstly has anyone weighed a stock shaft? I deal with a company that makes a composite aluminum shaft that is 40% stronger than t6 6061, and weighs nearly half of a stock steel shaft. With the two big shafts, I imagine I could reduce a significant amount of rotational mass/weight.

Secondly, They ballance thier shafts upto 8000 rpms, about double what a factory (let alone a 5 year old factory) shaft is spun. Is there any reason to stay with a two peice drive shaft on a CC/SB?

Are there any other improvements to be had while custom building a driveshaft?

I only have 4" of lift and the stock front shaft seems to be holding up well. If it fails, I have a DOM or chromemoly shaft built for it, unless there is some improvement to be had.

Just airing some thoughts. I'm not ready to buy yet, just considering my options.

A 1 piece shaft will work well, but will require a very large diameter tube to work. Lots of twist and harmonics, but it can be done.

I was going to use a minimum of 4" for the rear, but hadn't decided about 1 piece or two.
