running lights

Would there be a way to add running light to the top of the Excursion like on the ford F -250 and 350. I think that would be cool to have.

You can buy all the parts from the dealer or im sure the aftermarket makes a set. Had a friend with an F250 that didnt have them so he added em in. Just make sure you drill in the correct place. One of his buddies drilled one a 1/4" off and he wont let him forget it lol.

Hey young pup...

Here's a "how to" link for roof clearance lights on a SD PU.

http://www.emotoman.com/f250/lights/f250lights.htm

I saw a blue Eddie Bauer on Ebay with clearance lights on them... and yes, they do look very cool.

Another option would be to install something like a LUND MoonVisor --- thats what I'm going to do as money permits or I can "sneek" it by the missus

my 2000 ex has the cab roof lights on it but who ever put em on i think put dodge lights on so i go and order the smoke cab light covers for a ford thinking they will fit, get here and low and behold they don't i look on the back of the package and the lights i have look identical to dodge lights so i email up seller to see if i can just exchange them but the price difference is another $35 for the dodge ones. so i still have the ford smoke covers and the orange dodge lights for now till i figure out what i am going to do to fix this issue... go to ford lights or get the dodge covers???

Just get the dodge lenses, no one will notice and rewiring and installing new lights would be MUCH more work then just replacing the lenses. No one will know but you.

I thought about the chevy set-up with the long retangular light in the center and the smaller single lights on each side. I think it would look good, but just can't put those "chevy" parts on my X..... !
