Does anyone know if there is a way to get the keypad # without going to the dealer. I just traded my 06 f250 SC for a 07 F250 KR CC 6.0 and the previous owner didn't leave the code card in the glove box. ford used to put the code on the RKE module but I cant find that either. Any help would be appreciated.
There should be a control box behind the dash with the code on it.
I have read that it is directly behind the hook that is over the transmission hump, if you remove the 2 screws and the hook you can look behind it while pulling back the carpet and insulation to locate the box.
Actually I think it is a little more behind the radio, but it's probably easier to do the hook thing and look up.
If you still can't find it drop down to the excursion forum. Someone there has created a list of all the possible combinations (3125 of them). Then just plan on killing some time going through and punching them all in 'til you find it. Going back to the dealer sounds better than that doesn't it.
I have an '06 and the manual says it's "on" the computer. That leads me to think that it is printed on the module. Faced with the same dilema as you, I went to the dealer and for $88 they pulled it from the computer. I would like to think that if it was as easy as looking they would just do that, but would not bet on it. I didn't want to dig around trying to find it so just paid them, since it was in their shop anyway. If it's printed on the module it's probably printed in 4pt microscript so my tired old eyes could not read it.
BTW, the same dealer helped me identify the key for my spare tire winch without charge, so they can be helpful when they want to.
Actually, a couple people have posted pics of the sticker on here before and it is quite legible (guessing about 1/4" tall numbers). It just seems that it is not in the easiest of places to find.
If you guys keep talking about the dash hook, there's gonna end up being another dash hook debate. I don't think we've had one this year. Are you guys sure it's a hook? maybe a trash bag hanger CB mic hook What did Ford really intend that to be

Well thanks for the help guys but I took it to my local dealer they charged me $50. thet also said ford dosen't put the code on anything anymore. The dealer I bought the truck is 40 miles away so I wasn't taking it back there but they will get a call from me.
