'56 engine in '54?

Does anyone know if a '56 OHV engine will bolt in a '54 (currently a flathead) without modifications?

Have a '54 with a bad motor and a good '56 motor and want to get it together quickly and rebuild the '54 motor later.

I do not have a definite answer but will bump this to the top, someone may jump in. My guess would be yes but it`s only a guess.....
