For all you guys who want to do your own engine mounts. Its not to hard of a job. It just took me about two hrs. The only reason it took that long is the dump power steering line broke off. I cut a new one and put it on. The job is simple. The mounts are marked so you can't mess them up. (I brought the OEM from FORD) Two nuts hold the mounts on the frame. Take off both sides. Then, do what I didn't, disconnect the PS pump line. Jack the engine off the frame. You'll have acess to the bolts that hold the mounts on the frame. Then take the two bolts off per side that hold the engine mounts to the engine. Put on in same order.
The funning thing is that the old ones looked ok. The engine at Idle is smooth, no shake. So something was wrong. Still have the side to side shake when driving. I have an appointment at ford next week to find out what the problem is. Well any questions let me know.

Forgot to add that you have to take off the fan cover also or the fan will get stuck. Later.
Thanks for the tips. Getting ready to replace mine. I will be replacing the aft mount as well... the one at the tranny. How much were the OEMs? Let us know what Ford had to say about your continued problem.
It seemed that the tires that I brought were crap. I had them replaced. I also had to take off my drive shaft and take it to a shop to have it rebalanced. Now all is well. The truck is giving me around 15 to 17 miles to the gal. Depending on how I drive. Don't do the mounts. The ones I took off are just as good as the new ones I put on. Also they were about $200 for the set. I think one was 80 and the other was 120. Ford gave me a 20 % dis. so it was cheaper. Thanks for all the info.
