I just got this 1963 Ford F100 and had been sitting around for like 7 years, and i took off the gas tank today and relized that there are some holes in the bottom where it rusted through and i was woundering if you could patch them some how or if any other years of ford fuel tank will fit in there.
There are few products that claim to seal small pin holes, por15 is one, Eastwood will likely have something simular. Used Por15 for cleaning and sealing tank but no pin hole issue. Not sure, the Hollander Interchange book I have begins with 65 and indicates they are interchangable 65 thru 69, suggest take measurements if decide to go salvage shopping. Might find something in FTE classified. With salvage yards in my area there must be some type of safety ordinance because all fuel tanks are punctured. Have not found any Ford part supplier's who carry them, perhaps another member can provide source. Wrecking yards can run a search, or google for wrecking yard web site. May be opportunity to relocate tank if considering, here are couple referrences. I bookmarked another I found informative but can't seem to find it, if decide to go that route I can look further. With that being said, if unable to locate tank for reasonable price, I would probably try using a sealant, because of safety issues number of members would probably advise otherwise. If should consider, strongly suggest testing before installing.
Couple sources for relocating tank:

hey guys, I ran into a guy at one of the local salvage yards an he said his son used a granada tank so i went an looked at it an the the way he has it installed is the tank sits up against the crossmembers and then two straps around the bottom. The granada fuel tank has a rubber gromet that the filler neck slides into. and the filler neck can be removed and reshaped. I think the granada fuel tank he used was out of a 78. and the install was in a 56 ford f100. hope this helps.

Original Ford part number: C1TZ-9002-H was replaced by >>>> D0TZ-9002-A ~ Fits 1961-1972 ALL F100/F750 with in cab fuel tank
Bill, Do your books show volume sizes for those years? Are they all the same or are there some differences?
thanks
John
Volume sizes? Uh...pertaning to book volumes ( I have 1000's) or volume in relationship to how much gas they took?
Just funnin'... I catch your drift (I think). All are listed with gallon quantity. The DOTZ-9002-A tank holds: 19.5 gallons. The original C1TZ-9002-H tank holds: 18.
