I've got a 2007 F250 King Ranch and although my truck didn't come with the adjustable gas & brake pedal option I noticed it's wired for it in the dash. There is a blank plate where the switch would go to the left of the steering wheel but behind it is the wiring harness for the switch. Does this mean it's already set up for the option and all I need to do is install the switch? What is the best way to determine if the motors are there to adjust heights on the pedals? Thanks.
If the truck didn't come with that option, the actuators aren't there. I guess you could install all the necessary hardware but you really have to ask yourself how badly ($$$$$) you want it.
Not really. The King Ranch option gets you a bunch of leather and some fancy badging. The list of options for the KR is three times longer than the list of standard equipment.
Any news on this conversion? Anyone try it yet? I am toying with the idea of putting a set in my truck. At 6'-6" I would like all the legroom I can get. The 250 is pretty nice, but I sat in a buddy's F150 with this option and it was much better. Although I don't want to break the bank trying to retrofit my truck. The bottom line is, I can always remember how horrible the wife's VW Jetta and that keeps things in perspective.
I would be surprised if the adjustment gave you any more leg room then standard petals. I have this option (short wife) and think they only bring them closer to the driver, not further away then standard.
See if you can sit in one at the dealer (find an old 07) and try it yourself.
Anyone else have info on this? I ordered my 04 without adj. peddles on purpose because they only bring them closer to you, not farther away. Anyway, I bought a switch the same shape as the knock out thinking it would be perfect for the high idle mod, but the wiring is behind there for the peddles and there is wiring going to the peddles too like it is all set up for it just without the switch. I hate to put the high idle in that spot if I could buy the Ford switch and have the adj. peddles just for the heck of it.
