2000 F250 PSD
I'm not completely sure what gears I have in the back end - but I have the towing package and they have not been re-built. I'll verify what they are soon.
I would like to add a chip/tuner. My initial thought is to go with the Diablo performance chip since it is customizable for my mods. Is the Superchip an option? It would also be a bonus if my speedo was corrected! Oh, and a fuel economy boost would be pretty sweet!
Also - because I'm running the lift/big tires - my trans is one of my concerns - I'd like to prolong it's life as much as possible. Will the chip cover me or do I need to go a step further and put in a valve to increase line pressure?
Will adding a chip cause me to have to make any additional mods or anything else to have it perform correctly.
Sorry for the book - but buying soon and just had a few questions.

In regards to your questions, because of the tire size changes I recommend the Diablo Delta. The reason is we can correct the speedo with the Delta and we need to soften up the shift a little compared to normal line increases. Tires of that size on the Power Stroke tend to give a shift a little too hard for some people when using the Micro Tuner. Probably the best thing for ride quality and tranny life in this case is a Diablo Delta, with no line pressure increase and changing out the shift valve.
