update

after the dip in the pond the bko has not been running well at all.sputtering on acceleration, stalling, lack of power, over heating and engine lite on,water pump was leaking, also had dirt in oil..after numerous threads and help here i got it to run a bit better.its still off though.heres what ive done so far...

dried the plug wires and dizzy.

dried out the air duct and replaced the filter.

new water pump.

found a melted plug wire that may of been arcing so i replaced them.

cap and rotor were worn so i replaced that too.

found a dried rotted emissions hose so i replaced that.

radiator was clogged up with leafs and dirt. so i rinsed out with low pressure.

changed rear diff fluid that might of had water in it.

found dirt on dip stick so i changed out fluid once and plan on doing again.

compression check, all seemed well.

plugs were fine.

heres where i stand.its still running hot but not over heating. i think its the fan for sure, its not kicking on.there is still a very slight stutter once in awhile on acceleration or revving.im not sure what that is. check engine light is off.still feels a bit sluggish to me but it got up to 80 mph with no real problem.(maybe its in my head?? )almost feels like there is a load on the engine.it also seemed like it shifted into overdrive when i was doing 20-30 but the over drive was off (on the end of gear selector ****)

so after i change the clutch fan and the oil a couple more times i don't know what else to do.maybe the pond dip and 199k on the motor is/was to much ? time to sell ?

When your oil was contaminated you could of done some internal engine damage causing your engine to lose compression which would drop power.
