I posted about this truck stalling, here are my other issues to deal with.
1) Turn signals not flashing. The Emergency flashers work fine, but neither turn signal flashes (the do come on) I´m not sure where the flasher is. I pulled the round device by the fuses but the emergency lights still flashed. I can feel the vibration from the flasher but cant find it yet. (have only had limited time on this)
2) The rear antilock light is on. I´m thinking the rear brakes might be gone as when I apply the emergency brake there is no response.
3) Lots of play in the steering. The ball joints look shot, can just the joints be replaced on this or is the whole rack to be replaced?
I think that is it. I´ll only be here for 4 days more, so any response is a great response.

The emergency lights have their own flasher, usually plugged in behind the fuse box. See if they will swap, or just try another flasher in the spot where you took the one out.

Check the fluid in the master cylinder, and yes, pull the rear wheels and see what's going on under the drums.

Yes, just the balljoints can be replaced, if you are talking about what the spindle turns on. If you are talking about the steering linkage from the steering box, some of the joints are made into the long piece, but they are not too expensive.
If you are contemplating replacing the ball joints, I would save some money up, and expect to replace some other stuff such as u-joints, and seals. Check the rotors, repack the bearings, etc. This is such a big job, you want to tear it down, and replace things if they are worn, so you don't have to do it again for awhile.
UPDATE: This is an 87 not an 85... Sorry about that.
Great answers...
1) Turn signals: I found that the flasher that I replaced for my father in law last year was out again.
2) Rear antilock light: Might have been fluid as it was near the bottom of the reserviour, but not empty.
3) Looks like some joints might be bad, not sure if I want to get into all that yet. (Having to find a trustworthy place here in Culiacan can be a chore).
NEW issues...
4) It takes a long time to shift gears, I thought that the tranny might be low on fluid. I pulled the dip stick and it might actually have a bit more than it should. Not much above the hashes, but visibly a bit high. I don´t know if this would cause an issue or not.
5) The horn is very hard to honk. I think it might be some corrosion between the two plates. I can see what seems to be ´burnt´ spots. I´ll update this after I separate them and sand down what I think is corrosion.
I think that is it for now. Thanks for the help so far. Pictures are coming...

What tranny do you have, and auto overdrive? If so, you may need to adjust the throttle cable that goes from the throttle to the tranny.
I don't mean this to be an insult or anything, but since you are a new user, I want to clarify your process on checking the auto trans fluid level since it reads a little high. Are you checking it at operating temp, with engine running, cycle trans thru gears before checking, in park or neutral(whichever it says on the dipstick or owners manual)? Checking trans fluid w/ engine off will give a high reading.

No insult taken. Let me clarify a bit more, I'm not sure exactly what tranny it has, I do not think there is an overdrive. (It is an auto) When I say it takes time to shift, I mean into R or D from the time I move it from park. I checked the dip stick after having the engine off for about 10 minutes. I did start the engine before pulling the stick, but did not recycle through the gears.
Check the tranny fluid with the tranny warmed up and the engine idling like was mentioned. Also look at the color of the fluid and smell it. If it's dark brown and burnt, I would change the fluid and the filter.
