I just purchased a 1990 Ford F250 pickup with a 7.3 non turbo IH engine. I will eventually use the F250 to pull a fifth wheel camper. I am a retired engineer & I have a cnc hobby shop & also ride a FZ1 yamaha.
The truck is pretty much original with 140K miles-auto w/overdrive. Truck runs great & appears to have been properly maintained. I replaced brakes, shocks, & front seats (extended cab). I found leather bucket seats from an Acura at the local junk lot.
Next major task will be a paint job.
Would appreciate a few pointers on where to find differences between 6 & 7 liter IH diesels. I would also like to find out if my 7.3 without the turbo is the same as the later 7.3 turbo engines???

You are at the right site for pointers. Just click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll over the list. You will find tech forums that deal with the questions you asked. There are a lot of diesel experts here so you won't have any trouble getting answers once you post in them.
