Steering Problem part 2
I am having a problem with the way my truck is driving. The steering on my truck seems to wander some or typically pulls to the left but not always. Also, usually the steering wheel is not centered it is somewhat off center to the right. Below is a list of recent work Ive had done on my truck. It now has 101k miles on it.
The truck was driving perfectly between 88k and 92k miles after I had the lower ball joints and sway bar links replaced. The problems seemed to first creep in when I had the 90k checkup at my ford dealer. They also replaced the serpentine belt that day. Then two weeks ago I had my warped brakes replaced. They thought (private garage) that my steering problems might be related to the fact that my left front caliper was freezing up. So I had all new brakes put on along with new shocks and it fixed all my problems execpt for the wandering/erratic steering. It also seems like there is slightly more play in the steering then there used to be.
Could my problems with my steering be in any way related to what ford did in my 90k checkup and replacing of the serpentine belt? Otherwise the only other things would be maybe something like tie-rod ends? Are there other possiblilities?
Thanks,
Mike Krivsky
