holley 650 problem
i have a holley 650 double pumper on a 351c, my problem is when I start it (cold) i have to keep my foot on the gas a while to keep it running. When it warms up i have no problem. I am not using the choke but its about 90 degrees out

sorry to bring this post back, but im still having problems. I tried adjusting it a few times and it doesnt seem to help, when i turn the needles out it seems to run worse(at fully warmed up idle) I turn them in and it runs better but it wont stay running the next morning

I might have a leak but it seems to be fine once it warms up. Would the timing being off affect it? The hose for the vacumm advance on the distributor was hooked up to a constant vacumm instead of the timed vacumm port. So at idle its was getting 15 psi vacumm instead of zero. I switched them around and it still runs well so i will see how it will run tommorow.

I didnt do anything with the timing, the orginal carb (holley 750) had the vacuum advance hooked up to the timed port and it ran fine until its vacuum leak. The guy that put on the new carb hooked the vacuum advance to a constant vacuum and im having problems. I will check the intake, that might be the problem since its the original
