Well I won an Ebay auction this week and came away with a original Radio for my 52. Are there radio experts on the forum? It's pretty rusty but complete. I cleaned up the front chrome bezel and it looks pretty good. The "clear" dial window is pretty fogged up. It has ***** that look ok as well. I really want to just fill the empty hole in the dash but thought I'd see what kind of info was out there.
I found a number on the side of the radio it says:
9BF-144366
There are companies that will restore your radio. I've seen them advertized in Hemmings Magazine. I bought one for a 66 vette after restoring for $125.00. I would clean up yours and then install a good radio if you like to play cd's etc. You could install in the glove box or under seat, several choices.Have a great day, chuck
Radios: See the SERVICES OFFERED section in Hemmings Motor News. hemmings.com There are also ppl that will take an original radio and add AM/FM, a CD or a tape (12V only). The radio still looks the the same.
