Alright, I drive a 2001 explorer sport and I am still making payments on it. Moneys a bit tight an I am thinking about down grading a bit. I am thinking about buying a 92 ranger. It has a 4.0L v6 and I was just wondering what sort of performance mods are available for this model of engine and where should i look?
There's not a lot of stuff availble for the 4.0, but there are the basic bolt-ons like headers, cold air intake, etc. and of course cams if you want to go deeper into the engine.
Take a look at some of the threads here in this forum though...depending on how radical you want to get, there are some things that can be done. The 4.0 is a good motor with a lot of potential...
There's actually quite a bit of stuff available for the sohc, now that its in Mustangs too, but the 92 will have the ohv and that's more limited and expensive in terms of what's available. supersixmotorsports com is a good place to start looking.
