gauge install

mornin all,
im looking at installing gauges for a buddy with a 6.0
i havent done much research, planning to install boost, tranny temp and pyro.
where do you recommend intall of boost fitting, pyro, tranny sensor.
its an 03 F-350 6.0

thanks.

I installed mine the same way as in the article Bear Hunter posted, with the exception of the thermocouple location. Mine is dead center of the manifold at the last cylinder runner before the up pipe. This gives a more accurate of the total temperature heading twards the turbo. The actuall correct place to install the thermocouple is about an inch or 2 directly ahead of the turbo. Where both banks of exhaust temp are combined and equiled out just before entering the turbo. Installing in the manifold will suffice just fine. Turbo housing/wheel damage is what you are trying to prevent when keeping the temps below a sustained 1250 deg F.
