In only 8" you will not loose much heat.
1250 is the magic number you want to stay under.
I always like to leave a margin for error in the gauge, so that would say keep it under 1200.
Since you are not in the manifold, drop another 50 off and keep it under 1150.
If you want to be extra cautious keep it under 1100 for most of your driving.
The big drop is when you are after the turbo.
That requires 300 or so degrees be subtracted from what is safe at the manifold.
I can also tell you that you will see max MPG if you keep the EGT close to 600 degrees at the manifold.
sooooo im wondering no one told me should i turn it up another flat an and what size is that allenwrench i need to do that?? and does it harm the motor at all as long as keep the egt under 1150 and i still dont know wuts wrong with my turbo return line thing that i have my boost gauge connected too i dont undertsand why its loose
