Top Removal
I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I'm having trouble with the search feature...
The shell (top) is very easy to take off, first roll down the rear window, then if the trim panels are still installed remove them (three of four small screws each) then you will find the bolts that hold down the shell (4 on each side, 1 on each vertical, and 3 across the top) also there might be an alignment pin near the rear. now the 95 will have a third brake light so there will be an electrical connection some ware(don't know for sure my 85 doesn't have one) also if your rear seat has shoulder belts you will have to disconnect the seat belts. Remove the bolts (note the vertical & top bolts are longer). Now the shell is more bulky then heavy (approx. 120lb), the easiest way I have found to remove the to is to have one person on each side of the truck, one at a time push up on the shell at the top of the window to tilt the shell to the side so you can get your hands under the shell then have the other person do the same, now you have the shell off the truck just walk it over the tailgate to wherever you are going to store it. Make sure to place the shell on blocks or boards to keep the seals/gaskets off the ground.
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
