While I was at my daughters soccer game today I couldn't find one single honey bee. So I googled honey bee and found this article. This is kinda alarming.
VERY VERY alarming...but most on here will think it is like global warming, is not real and is not happening, after all just a bunch of scientists are saying it.

We have Salvia bushes in our front yard. Last year I always had to wait until the sun went down to trim them because there were so many bees. This year, I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 on them at any one time. I hope they figure out what is doing this and can stop it.

For those of you who have seen no drop in bee activity, is there cell phone coverage in your area?

No, I'm not a tin foil hat wearer(yet).

I saw a few honeybees around my yard the first warm days, about a month, month and a half ago. I haven't seen any lately. Seems they did come out after wintering-over, but I'm not seeing any right now.
When I was a child growing up in Levittown Pa, I frequently would get stung in my backyard, while barefoot in the grass and clover. 35 years ago, every little clover flower in the yard had a honeybee, buzzing around it. I cut my Moms grass this morning and did not see one honeybee anywhere...the yard is still choked with clover flowers.

We have a hive in a tree 50 feet from the house. They leave us alone and we leave them alone. Once each spring they swarm and decide they want to move into our fireplace. We light a smoke log and within 30 minutes they go back to their tree.

My son and I removed about 50 swarms and established hives last year, This year sofar none!! I keep my bee's about 75ft from the House, If you go outside with a soda WATCH OUT!!! I have had as many as 5 hives at one time. This year I was going to order bees this spring from OHIO some Buckfest honey bees Thoe none were avilable. I will settle for FREE honey bees any time even if they are Killer bees, Personly I dont see not much difference.

The last thing I saw on the news about it said studies show the bees are suffering from something attacking their immune system.

So that would mean their dying of a bees version AIDS.
