I have a trax lock in my front end. It is a clutch type so no noise. Bought it from bronco graveyard. claims to have 95% lock up. It will spin both front tires on dry ground. Factory limted slip in rear.

Friend of mine put a Powertrax in his 4.0l ranger 4x4.. worked as advertised and he was very pleased with it for many years. On the basis of that I put one in my fathers E250 van with a 10.25 semi floater. It was noisy, chattered, didn't stay locked, and would completely unlock both axles at the worst possible time! It was checked several times for proper clearances, but we couldn't make it work right. Had to remove it and put the open diff back in. The Powertrax had no broken parts and showed no wear when it was removed.

I have been running a Powertrax in the rear of my 84 F150 4x4 for quite a while now, I just ordered one for the 96 F150 4x2 also, I am very happy with the performance.
