Factory temp gauges
Has anyone else had a problem with their temp gauges reading correctly? I have an 03 F-250 SD, V-10, 4.30 gears, and tow a 36' 5th wheel. Once my temp gauges (water and trans) get up to normal operating tempature, they DON'T move. I can be towing my 5th wheel uphill, downhill, straight and level, and the gauges don't get any higher, not even in hot weather. Upon occassion, I've even heard the fan cluch kicking in on the engine fan and have not seen the water temp gauge move at all. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to think I have one cool running Super Duty, but youd think the gauges would react a little.

Those factory gauges are only glorified idiot lights. This is why so many owners put aftermarket gauges on their trucks. Take a ride with someone that has these gauges and watch 'em and compare the reading with the factory ones....You have a set of gauges in your future!!
