Thanks man, thats is sweet. Will a chip void any waranties, if I take if off before I go to the dealer, is there any way to see if a chip has been on the truck.
It could void waranty but Ford has to prove that the chip caused the damage, that fight could tie you up in court through. To install the chip you have to scrap the sealer off of the pins so the chip will make good contact so there will be a little physical evidence something was there.
It will if (big if) the guy working on it, or in the event of a real money cruncher, the rep from the warranty company, sees it, has any leg to stand on whatsoever that it even could have caused an issue, then you're out.
That said, not all mechanics are dorks. I'd be more concerned about a warranty company rep seeing the thing, but thats just past experience talking. I had one for a couple of years and got more than my moneys worth out of it then right before it expired one of their reps actually looked at the truck. Of course, he had about 20 things he could void me on, and that was that. But I got a refund for the "unused" portion. That was a winner.

If they have to take it apart to the point where they can see the piston tops then yes they can tell. It will leave a much more pronounced "burn spread" for lack of a better description.
Back to the original question. It is remarkably easy to install the DP Tuner and switch. Only difficulty we had was getting on the bolt on the firewall holding the CPU in. Twenty minutes total and it turned into a COMPLETELY different truck on 80E. WOW!
I recommend using a zip tie to hold the wiring harness onto the chip, and drilling a hole in the black plastic CPU shroud to route the harness thru.
