I have a 1999 F350 duelly 7.3 with limited slip rear end. I only have 26000 miles on it.
I changed the rear end fluid and added the ford additive.
The rear end still chatters a little when I turn a corner and step on the gas.
Is this normal?
Check out this link, discusses how much friction modifier to add. You should do it soon, because the clutches in the limited slip will get torn up quick without it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...ction+modifier

Sounds like mine. Wow, only 26k. I am closing in on 60k and mine has done this. I replaced fluid with royal purple, and while better, it is not gone. I am curious about the response to this. AFAIK it is possible to go too far with additive and have a limited grip diff. The royal purple is not supposed to require any additive AKA friction modifier.
