With all the talk about cat's recently I have some questions too. I am getting the sulphur smell from my 2004 V-10 and am wondering if it could possibly be a plugged cat? What are symptoms and cures? Truck runs, idles and drives fine. Gas mileage hasn't gotten any worse lately but I am going to check again on the next fill-up. All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
I've heard the rotten-egg smell is an indicator that the cat's going bad, but not necessarily plugged up.
If you're behind a vehicle on the highway with a cat, and they nail it for a minute or two, you'll smell it too. Any rich condition will make the cat smell even when they are good.
Unless you're racing around gunning it all the time, stop and THEN smell it, I think something is up.
