Od???
All these different issues about it, I'm kinda confused about the OD. I live in the mountains and sometimes pull a trailer 10,000 plus. Do I turn the OD off when pulling up mountains or steep grades? I don't want to fry my transmission. Thanks.

My guess would be turn it off if you are in the mountains and towing like you said. I believe that if the tranny is looking for gears or the TC is locking and unlocking while you have OD on, I would shut it off. Mine is manual so I don't have experience with auto's other than my EX but we don't pull with it. We do live in the mountains though and it does fine in OD with no load. Then again totally different truck. I hope this helps a little.

as long as your tranny isnt shifting a LOT, USE the overdrive. If your tranny downshifts once and holds that gear while in OD, there is nothing to worry about. If you downshift, then your truck wants to shift up again, just to downshift again (long grade) you should turn it off.
