will the alluminum rims from a 90 f-150 fit a 78 f-150, also ive asked before but got confused, is there a direct bolt in motor to replace a 351 / c-6 tranny in a 78, i was looking for something big and loud and not at the least bit a "gas saver"
All 2X4 1/2 Tons between 1949 to 1996 had a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern with 1/2 inch lug nuts so the answer to your question is yes as long as both trucks meet the previous qualifications --- I have aluminum rims from a 81 on my 73 without problems.
I put aluminum wheels from a 95 on my 79. I got the lug nuts from the dealer for a 95 as well. The length of the face and seat angle of the mating surface seemed to be different then the old steel wheels.
well, there is not a direct bolt in for a 351 turd, other than a bigger turd, a 400. but a 460 will bolt in with only a few mods. engine mounts and exhaust are the biggies.

The potential for making high torque, and decent horsepower, makes the 400 a great candidate for modifying. There's a big difference between the 400 and the 351M
