Don't know if anyone is interested but if you've read the July 06 issue of Diesel Power Mag they tested the big three dually's. One thing I noticed that was barely mentioned in the article was the fact that the 06 F350, KR,DRW,CC was 800lbs heavier than the Dodge Laramie, and 740lbs heavier than the Silverado. The Chevy was a little quicker down the 1/4 mile but I sure would like to see it after the weight was equaled. When it comes to 3/4 and 1 ton trucks Ford by far has a better/ stronger built truck than the other two. That's not just opinion, that's fact! The other two are more similar to their half tons when you look closely at their chassis. Why else would the Super Duty be so much heavier? Now I realize some consider it blasphemy to say anything negative about the almighty Dodge and it's Cummins, but all I can say about that is...You can wash it, you can wax it, and when you go to bed and get up the next morning, it's still a Dodge. The only way to fix it is remove the radiator cap and drive a new Ford under it. Can I get an amen?
Butter my butt, I'm on a roll now! In the February 07 issue of Diesel Pwr Mag it reads on page 70. Quote, "Sorry Duramax and Cummins guy's, Ford sells more Diesel Powered Pickup Trucks than Chevrolet and Dodge combined" un-quote. Do the math, when you sell that many trucks "more than the other guys" you're more likely to hear about a few problems. It's the law of averages. Ford Super Duty is still the best!
