So the windsor engine plant (happens to be in my community)has cast its last engine. Here's a link to the article from the paper http://www.canada.com/windsorstar/ne...9-56b3b283ddda
After reading the article it got me to thinking, why can't ford re-tool the plant use it to cast either the diesel engine that will go in the F150 or the one they are rumored to be creating to replace the 6.4? Any thoughts?
Off to Mexico it will most likely go. Possibly China, but not likely. Even John Deere is slowly shifting engine production to Mexico. Most of our hydraulic vavle suppliers just moved operations there. As well as most of our wire harnesses. I cant see Ford doing anything different.
