disc brake conversion question

has anyone converted to disc brakes and not changed to power brakes? will it still stop ok or will it be harder to stop? trying to decide how much effort this is going to take and if it will be worth it.

disc brake conversion question

I have converted to the Disc brake kit that Wild Horses sells. I don't have a power booster. It is only SLIGHTLY heavier than the Drum set-up. And I mean only slightly. I find they stop fine and would never go with a power booster 'cause I don't want to worry about loosing the brakes if the the engine cuts out on a hill. The bronco doesn't weigh enough for me to need a booster.

Good luck,

Eric

thanks for the response. i never thought about loosing brakes if the motor quit, good idea. i was more along the line of not putting anything more in the engine compartment to have to work around.
