I have a 1978 F-250 Super Cab- Camper Special with the 351M and I need to replace the shaft from the steering column to the PS pump ..the u-joint is worn out ..What is it called .??? .3 different people told me 3 different names . Can the u-joint just be replaced..?? or something else from another model be switched ??? ..new to this . Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry forgot that in the thread. A guy looked at my truck and looked under it and said " You have 4" axle hubs and your front dif has a high pinion ..you just may have a Dana 60 in this front dif ..8 bolt wheel lugs .." Only had the truck for 3 days and it is very clean and no rust to worry about ( a small bit of surface rust in one area). Would any of this information change the part number you replied to. Guess I better get into this stuff if I want to keep the truck running good. Got a LOT to learn .

You didn't put 4WD in your original post, that's why I typed >> 2WD?
The part number I listed ABOVE IN POST # 2 ^^^ is for 2WD ONLY and will not work on a 4WD truck.
