What should i offer?
I was at the parts store today gettin stuff for the ol 250 and a guy asked if id be interested ina 79 f-250. He said its got a 6in all spring lift. 400 $spd. It has double tube chrome roll bars and 38 in super swampers. The bad part is its been rolled. But he said the only thing that it damaged is the cab . the bed and front clip are supposed to be in great condition. Its been garage kept for 6 yrs after he wrecked it. He said itll still start up. So if its in the condition he says its in do you think itll be worth a grand? He said make an offer so thats what i think ill offer if all he said is true.

Go look at it and if it is the way he said I'd think it's be worth no more than $1500 if in the condition he described........all you'd need is a cab roof and pillars and a bed, easy to find.

try offering him 500 feel him out. if it looks like hes insulted ask him what hes looking for. it will get you an idea how much hes thinking. you should be able to get 500 worth of parts, if its in really good shape. also take a look before you part with your green.

i got a parts truck, a similar way. he wanted 475. i let a few weeks go buy and offered him 250. and had him tow it home for me. i really only need the bed, but sometimes its easier to look in the driveway for parts than salvage yards. it has a 100 mph speedometer too.

Yeah around here its cheaper to buy a whole truck than to scower the yards for parts. Im going tomorrow evening to look at a truck my buddy told me about. Its a 79 f-250 4wd. He said its got a good body. THeres 35s on it now so iunno if its got a lift or not. 390 4spd. He said $500 w/o wheels and tires. Its got 16.5 wheels and the dinky 35s i cant use anyway so if its good as i hear ill buy it and then still prolly go buy the other truck . Ive bout most of the trucks within a 60 mile radius of my house lol. Keeps them from goin to the bone yard and ive got a 20x20 building full of parts to show for it. But as usual i got everything but what i need.

dunno if its got a 60 front but if it does this redneck will have it settin on blocks in no time lol. Ill have that 60 under the cc in no time
