I'd be interested in installing a front mounted receiver hitch on my truck for bicycles, etc, but all the ones I have see require that the front fog lights be removed in order to install the receiver.
Does anyone know of one that does not require the removal of the fog lights?
Did you do a search? I believe this has come up before and if I remember correctly someone had installed one that kept the factory fog lights. Good luck.
Yeah, but all my searches just turned up stuff about the snowplow pkg.
I'll try some more-
try www.gowarn.com
theirs mounts where that lower bar is mounted on our trucks, not a the fog light location.
I wish I had known that before I got the DRAW-TITE one
Try CURT Manufacturing. I installed one on my 2001, 350. It mounts beneath the front blocker beam (crossbar), the 2" receiver sticks out underneath the front air dam, the rest of the hitch tucks up behind the air dam. Nothing has to be cut or removed, plus it does not cover up any of the openings to any of the coolers. Cost was about $120.00 (two years ago), and installation time was about 45 minutes. However you need to check your application if your truck does not have the blocker beam then you’re in the same boat as the others (fog light removal), with the exception of the Warn hitch. I went with the Curt because the Warn was over $300.00, and no I do not work for or sell for either company.
