Brake pads?

What brake pads do you guys use on your Bronco?

Mine is in need of some serious brake work. The pads I have on it now I just put on but they are AWFUL. I got them from Napa. I bought them because I needed calipers for another truck and Napa only had loaded calipers. I saved the pads and put them on the Bronco when it needed them. They squeal like a pig, produce incredible amounts of brake dust, and they faded so bad on me this past weekend following a truck down a mountain that I need new undies too. I also have one caliper that's starting to stick. Oh, and one rotor has gotten so thin it's warped.

So it needs calipers, pads, hoses, pads, and at least one rotor. While I'm at it, I will get new bearings and seals for both sides.

I have brands picked out for everything but the pads. I love Spectra One pads, but they are getting impossible to find. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a clean, quiet pad that won't fade and won't chew through rotors? I have never used ceramic pads, but I have heard they are hard on rotors and tend to make noise. I *hate* brake squeal. It also gets very hot in the summer here. We see at least a month of 100+ temps.

I rarely tow with it, but it does see quite a bit of mountain roads as this is our camping vehicle we take into the mountains.

Recommendations?

well I have 4 or 5 boxes of pads I tried on shelf not to mention the one I gave away or trashed . They would squeal or dust me out. The ceramic one didn't feel like the truck was going to stop. So as a last effort I went to my local Ford garage and got the stockers. Little dust no noise.

I know there are probably 200 different manufacturers or brands but I tried all the one at Local PA NAPA, Auto zero , and the mom& pop outfits had.

But thats me good luck LOST

I just installed some Hawk brand SuperDuty pads on my Bronco. So far no dust, no noise, and they stop on the dime. I haven't used them in rainy conditions yet, so I don't know how they perform when wet. But I do alot of driving that involves plenty of stop and go traffic, and so far the stopping has been consistent Their not on the cheap side, but since I spent the money on Baer rotors, I wanted a pad that wouldn't ruin them.

I bought performance friction carrbon metalic at AZ when I bought my 91 with 25000, they came with a lifetime warranty and I love them.. Have replaced about 4 times and don't turn the rotors and they are great. The bonus is they don't cost me anything except a little time. To do over I would use them and even pay
