Rear ABS light
Morning all!
1990 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 with 351 and E4OD (newly rebuilt and it sure has been nice since! Thank to everyone here for help on that.).
Rear Anti-Lock Brake dash light goes on and off intermittently. Brake performance does not seem to be impacted. Started when we had a cold snap here in December/January, down into the teens some days. Used to go away for a longer period of time when the key was turned off then engine restarted.
Now, light comes on almost every time I start, stays on but may go off if I drive any longer than 30 minutes, turning back on after a little while.
Appreciate the help. Have a good day!

I just had the exact same thing happen to my truck. I have an 89' so its essentially the same truck. when the light comes on it means your ABS sensor is either nocked out or just not functioning properly. With my truck, the sensor was not working AND one of my rear drums was cracked and was letting air into the brake lines every once and a while. You will probobly end up needing a whole new rear ABS system for your truck. If you take it somewhere to be fixed it should cost around 300-400 bucks.
If you spend more than $10 getting the rear ABS system on that truck fixed you're insane.
It's a poor excuse for an ABS system. Pull the fuse and the bulb and don't worry about it. If you really want it gone, replace the ABS module with a small piece of brake line and bleed all the air out.
