Poor starting

Have an 85 F150 with fuel injection; it starts beautifully first time; after running and shutting off, I have to pump pedal and turn ignition 8-10 times to get it to crank again. Had new ignition coil and module installed at dealer. Any suggestions?

thanks much.

I would get a fuel pressure guage and measure the fuel pressure when you turn the engine off. See if you have fuel pressure when it wants to throw a fit and not start.

thanks

Dave,
I'll try that. I'm assuming a goober like me can figure out how to use a fuel pressure gauge once I buy one!

take care.
