Air Filter Brand

What brand of air filter do you use/recommend as being the best?? While at the auto parts store today, I noticed there were a lot of different brands and just wondered what you use.

There is no such thing as the best, there are better options for different situtations. I am currently using K&N, but if my WD would stock my replacement in tru-flow, I would try it.

K&N filters will not damage the MAF sensor, contrary to popular belief. http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/massair.htm I talked to my K&N rep some time ago, and he said that K&N will pick up the warranty if thier products cause an engines damage. http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/massairpledge.htm

I got a K&N filter last year (88 BII 2.9) and have washed it for the first time after
the pollen dump this spring. It was easy and fast and cheap, and worked like new
afterward. There is a noticeable difference between the K&N and paper filters in
the engines performance. (noticeable, not miraculous.)

I use Motorcraft filters.
I took the K&N out after about 4,000 miles.
It's available cheap if someone wants it.
