Ok I know this is a long shot but I thought what the hell.I'm posting this to several Early Bronco boards. My dad bought a 71 Sport Bronco (red) new from the Wilson motors ford Dealer in Corvallis Oregon. Thats the rig I learned to drive in and got me hooked. Dad traided it in at the same dealer in 85 for a full size Bronco. Sold my rig out from under me. I don't supose anyone out there remembers buying a used Bronco in Corvallis back in 85. I allways wondered what happened to that rig. It was bone stock with about 75k on it in 85. Doesn't hurt to ask does it. So if anyone has a 71 red sport that came from Oregon and was bone stock in 85 let me know. I'll post the VIN # as soon as I can track it down.
Thanks, Craig
Good luck on finding your long lost love. If you can remember the license plate #, you might be able to the the owner's name and address that way with the help of your local DMV. There are also companies on the net that will do the same for about a $30 fee--they will e-mail you the info Not sure what the DMV fee would be; Probably about the same, plus the long wait in line.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Oct-02 AT 03:49 PM (EST)]If you have the vin, try locating it through the DMV there. I did this with a 73 satelite (my first car that my grandfather gave to me). I wanted it back 12 years after I sold it, so I could rebuild it. I found the owners but it was a total rusted POS by that time.
You might get lucky and find it if it's still in the state. FYI, I did my search online via the DMV and got a reply by mail for free.

I haven't found much on the Oregon DMV web site. Anyone use one of these other web surches? I haven't found any. Got a link you can send?
