I am seriously.. finished with searching all the subforums and using different search meathods in trying to find a decent how to on installing 2005+ headlights.. (06 harley)..
now.. i am keeping everything else 04 but i am changing the headlight to the 06 harley..
if anyone knows where i might be able to find at least some good pictures.. can you please please point me in the right direction..
I very well may be wrong (and someone please correct me if I am) but I do believe you will need to change the header panel behind the headlights to install the 05+ lights; and correspondingly with such the grille...and bumper.
u can get away with using a dremel to mod the headlight panel...to accept 05+ healights...i believe the guy already had put on the newer bumper and grill also.
i got it done.. just forgot the order up the h13 plugs.. they are on the way..
i have to say.. the harley headlights look awsome with the older front end.. i am really suprised i am possibly the first ? to do this..
seems like some of they guys said i could.. but some cutting would be required.. well.. lets just say... ALOT of cutting was involved.. but in the end.. what i great product..
Post pics.. I'm sure it looks good. I ended up going with aftermarket smoked headlights on mine.. the Harleys were just a bit out of my price range, plus I didn't want to do any cutting.

this is for a 2004 superduty
Did you take pictures as you went through the install? Would be helpful for future installs by other members.
no i didn't... but i did go with a dfuser kit.. althought i didn't keep most of the kit.. i pretty much cut everything off it cept for the plugs and used the existing OEM wires..
i really didn't life the aftermarket way of not having the daytime running lights.. so i made my way around it.. now everything works great.. and.. looks great too.. here are some pics
haha... yah it;s actually green.. it'll get some pics in the daylight for ya guys..
i bought my parts from a forum sponsor.. www.powerstrokeshop.com.. bob is a great guy.. he even told me NOT to buy something he had because he believed there was a better product out there..
ONLY things you need are the headlights and the plugs.. get the plugs over at dfuser but buy the cheapest conversion they make.. cause all you really need are the plugs..
