Vapor Canister
The vapor canister on my 77 F150, 351M has three ports. One (the largest)is plumbed to the breather cover, one is plumbed to the fuel return line back to the tank. I'm stuck for an idea where the other is plumbed to. Should this be connected to a vacuum source?

You need to find a vacuum diagram. Not all applications are the same.
For example: One port goes to the fuel tank, one goes to the bowl vent, the other goes to the EGR spacer (as it is configured on mine...).
