Hello all... New here but been reading alot of your threads for a while now. I did a few things to my 2004 6.0. I have an 2004 F-350 PSD crew cab dually lariat. I disconnected the EGR, removed the throttle plate, installed a magnaflow 4" full exhaust with muffler delete with dual exhaust ( well imitation dual exahust), K&N intake. Well I did the exhaust and intake a while ago, but just did the disconnect of the EGR and removal of the throttle plate.. DAMN I noticed a big difference in overall performance. I use my truck for primarily towing applications. I tow our 38' toy hauler 5th wheel that weight in at 17,000 lbs. I did a litte whole ago have a superchips in it but ended up stereching the head bolts. Well let me tell you, that will not happen again thanks to a few friends at KAMAN aerospace. Wink..Wink..Wink. Mabe ford will do what I did to resolve the head bolt problem. All the dealer knows is they installed the APPROVED Ford head bolts.. again wink..wink..wink. But never reinstalled the superchips program cause to be honest, it still pulls our 5th wheel awesome and will pull the hills at 70 - 80 MPH.. how much more do you need. Let's be honest here...LOL Mike from Long Island, I think you underestimated the difference the EGR makes disconnected. I forgot to say I also installed Autometer piller gauges (trans temp, pyro, boost). I noticed a drop in my exhaust temperature of about 100 to 150 degrees with the EGR disconnected with about 20 lbs of boost pulling a trailer that weight around 9- 10 K and on a 85 degree day. So in the matter of pulling, with the EGR disconnected and the throttle plate removed, make a difference. Now will try with pulling the 5th wheel.
