I doubt it. I don't think you'll change the rotating mass by much to make any difference. A fan clutch would be better, but ultimately you're not going to see any real mileage improvement for the effort/expense it's going to take.

Now if you did away with your mechanical belt driven W/Pump with a Jabsco Electric and you . . . Nah you just have to pay like the rest of us and bear it.
Or, whoever...my dad still sports a chin to ear scar from a flexfan fan blade as it went passed him and bounced off the wall. I am still uneasy standing in line with a fan...and don't trust flexyfans much.
