Actually it's alittle more expensive than the AS kit, but it doesn't seem to be built quite as strong.
It is only a few bucks more, and I'm sure I'd work just as good, but it would be better to get than any poly kit, and you wouldn't have to do it through ebay like you been trying to do anything to get away from.
While that Top Gun unit is similar, it is not where as strong in build quality. What is the grade of the studs? I know Autospring is Grade 8. Just looking at these, they do not appear to be anything other than off the shelf hardware store studs. Where is the torsional strength? They weld in tubes... guides if you will. The Autospring unit has fully welded gussets, made from the same heavy gauge steel that the main plates are. This unit might be "just enough" to work properly, but I dont buy products that function "just well enough". The Autospring is the superior build, with enough robustness in its build to KNOW it will not fail, as well as being cheaper than it! Is the country of origin listed on that site? I couldn't find it. I know that the Autospring kit is made here in the states... Idaho I believe. Not a big deal to some, but a huge deal to me.
I've seen quite a few pictures 4wd trucks with the 2" and 2.5", and I was wondering if just the 2" makes the 2wd's sit level. It looks like the 2" on 4wd still sit a little taller in the rear. I know the 4wd rear suspension is taller but is the front taller too, and by how much?
I measured the differences front to rear between the top of the tire and the fender arch. There only seemed to be about a 1 3/4"-2" difference. So would a 2" AS spacer make it fit perfectly level.
On the AS spacers, when it says its a 2" or 2.5", does it lift the front that amount or is there something else going on. Like does it replace some factory spacer or something.
The number listed (2, 2.5") is the exact lift amount. There is no factory spacer. In fact, I think the 2.5" lift spacer, actually measure somewhere around 1 7/8" in height.
