Last month finally traded 02 Ex V10 for 04 Ex 6.0. So far good trade.
We traveled 4 hrs to get Ex and the sale was good, however, after taking vechile off lot I discovered drivers side heated seat not working. No big deal contact dealer Monday morning and they will take care of it. Boy was I wrong, I was told I bought used vechile and that is that. Now that reply take a week and half to get, and the only reason I got that reply was that I told my credit union not to release the payment until I got some answers.
Well I'm now tring ti fix the probelm, I have done a search on this fourm and have not found anything to helpful to my probelm. Th e seat works but does not turn off and the heated seat button light stays on all the time? Any thoughts? I believe switch could be probelm.
Also how do you find a regional ford rep? I would like to contact the one where I bought the Ex and let them now how dissatified I'm with the dealerships service after the sale.
an 04 and they didnt offer any kind of warrantyw ith it? I suspect the 6.0 is why they may have avoided slapping a warranty on it. How many miles are on it?
hi, no offence but, you bought a soon to be 4 year old car & you are mad that the heated seat don't work ???? come on, i could see if the trans. fell off on the way home ,but the seat? that's life bseg barry
You still got the 100,000 mile warranty on engine and drivetrain. If you bought the car with an AS IS tag, there is little recourse, unless it would be of a catastrophic nature or if you can prove that the dealer DELIBERATELY tried to hide a MAJOR defect, or if there is evidence that it was PURPOSELY hidden such as heavier oil in the engine etc...Quite frankly, I believe you can expect some little things to go wrong from time to time...Enjoy the ride and welcome to the club :-)
no offense taken from anybody, howver, when vechile was purshased by dealership it was still under the bumper to bumper. I took delivery with 36124 mile on odometer. I believe the should have fixed under the bumper to bumper before it was sold. Also rear mian leaking, no a big deal that is under deisal warrenty. My point is they should have fixed first under bumper to bumper. Have service report that they did at 34678.
hey, i bought[on ebay] a 04' f450 cc 4x4 in nov. with 24k ,they [my local dealer]told me mine timed out on warr. last june . so i don't think there was any warr. when they[your dealer] got it unless it been sitting like a year. anyways have fun with your new truck, bseg barry
Looking at the wire diagram, the heat staying on could either be a "stuck relay" (under the seat) or a broken switch. Removal and testing with multimeter and power source would rule that out or confirm quickly.
