Won't Start
I did a search and found similar, but not identical problems. My 94 F150, 302, stick, 2WD, extended cab XLT wouldn't start. I got in, turned the key, engine cranked over nicely about 2 times, then dead. Each try after only produced a single click (which I believe is the relay on the sidewall near the battery). I did still have good lights, etc. A coworker hooked up his jumper cables and my truck started normally. I replaced my old battery. A week later, same exact thing happened. I can then turn it off & start without fail. I went to the battery shop & it tests fine. Also the battery gage on the dash shows normal charging. I've cleaned connections at the relay, frame ground by the battery, & spade terminal on starter (that spade terminal was dirty).
My question is this: Does it sound like a starter problem? Solenoid? What should I check/test if or when this happens again?
