2002 Explorer trans problem!
My wife has a 2002 Explorer XLT with the V8 in it and less than a week owning it i noticed a rattle when i would accelerate. Did some research and found out it may be the torque converter. This car only has 66,000 miles on it. Kinda sad that ford wont step up and do something for thier customers with issues like this. I bought the car used form a chevy dealer and they have a ford dealer fixing it. they also said the soleinoid is bad as well. after owning the car two weeks we have to put out 2100 bucks. this is why ford is going down the tubes. My family has driven fords for over 50 years. But if htis stuff continues we may look elsewhere.

we have but they wont. they said they are gonna take it to another dealer that will do it for 1200 so i am gonna have to pay about 600 now. also called Ford mototr company and filed a complaint about the fact that this is a known proplem and all they said was that they would docuent my complaint. typical. This is why i own a rice burner...lol
