after market ignition

hi guys ,looking for feedback on ignitions. i've got a 90' 5.0 with headers, high flow cat-mufflers k&n , jet module, wondering what ignitions work best for the $ and with the computers in these trucks or maybe someones had good results with just a higher output coil ? i've already replaced the stock wires, cap & rotor with the best stuff i could find. no big problems with stock just seems weak. thanks

Run a Jacob's in a 79 w/351m(400), got about 2 mpg over the stock with aftermarket coil, better starts and never stalls. Alot of guys out here like the MSD systems, I don't think you can go wrong with any good aftermarket ignition system.

I had a Mallory Hyfire IV and Promaster Coil on my '91. The Hyfire IV is now lying in state under my bench, perhaps to go to the swap meet next spring, where some other sap will actually give me money for it. The high-dollar Jacobs wires rusted in the distributor cap; they are now in a landfill, and have been replaced with NAPA's premium 9mm wires at half the price; their exterior finish is not as sexy as the ACCELs and Jacobs of the world, put their performance is. The Jet performance module had some sort of death wish; it would shut down the entire truck, and the only way to get the truck going again was removal of said module. JET's technical hot line was most unhelpful and rude.
I have heard good things through the Web about Jabobs', MSD's, and Hypertech's pieces, and I may yet go that route...just be careful out there!
