ok monday i had a chip installed in my truck well. first off i have 3 c2 gauges with an autometer dimmer in between the dash dimmer and the gauges. anyway no matter what setting the chip is on when i turn on the lights to running light or head lights the trucks starts lugging and shaking BUT when i switch the lights to auto nothing happens. NOW when i switch to from auto to headlights the gauges are brighter when the switch is turned to headlights and half as bright when switched to auto WTF. and when the switch is turned to headlights or runnings and i move the autometer dimmer the enigne revs and changes pitch WTF is that im calling cale in the morning but i heard that DP was haveing intervernce issues could this be the same HELP
try to disconnect the positive from the gauges, and see if those are gauges or not, you had them in the truck before,
you said you have DP, did you get the upgraded Cable with it?, is is flat or you got the round one ? if its flat you need new cable, if its round its allready upgraded,
maybe connections are bad on the pcm when the chip was installed , ??????and you sure your harness for the PCM is tight ?

ok i read your post you just got the BTS, correct?
maybe you wan to check the install, , did it happen the same day or later ?
maybe its the same as DP,
dont know Cales chips , is it like DP?
so this is all set, so it only happens when you turn your lights on, hmm, sounds to me , that either chip is loading somthing down or the gauges are hooked up to the wrong 12v line and interfeere with the chip,
disconnect your gauges and see if anything happens with you truck, if it runs fine , you know where to look for the problem, disconnect positive first, than ground, maybe when you put the ground for the gauges you creater the LOOP circuir, and causes meyham with the chip,
ill check back before going to work in am, going LuLu BaBa if you need anything more i can PM you my # in am,
ok fixed remove the dimmer and all the problems are fixed no more lugging and the gauges are the same brightness no matter what the light switch is turned to weirdest damn electiral bug ive come across in a while anybody have any ideas???? i changed the 12v supply and same thing also made sure no wires were touching the chip cable but i removed the autometer dimmer and everything is fixed WTF.
thats great ,,,,,,,,dimmers usually cause a ground loop and as far as PCM signals forget it, will cause crazy problems, if you want them little dimmer than what you have you have to get adjustable resistor 10k pot , and see at what resistance you like the look of them, measure it and get resistor of that value and put it in line on + side just like i have , ill make drowing of it if you interested, i used switch to change between values,
