Rusty........What an idea!!! I do believe it could be a great reason. I actually have the next one lined up and on hold. A friend gave me his prized 47 Stude commander starlite coupe in pristine condition. But I am looking for a 20-54 c**** to build a gasser.
Well, its been a whole season plus.. dang, almost a year since I posted the original question on here, I am still looking at the frame in my drive with the volare suspension on it (not sure its done right) and my Panel with its original OEM frame still sitting in my garage, and I find myself thinking.. MII on the original or Move the body over to the frame with the volare sub.... I know if I do the later, I will have to rebuild the volare since all the rubber is dry rotted and im sure the little shocks on it are no good either but I really got to ask (and sorry if it seems like I am asking AGAIN) but , If YOU had the choice, would you buy the $1500 "ish" MII kit, or spend the ?? dollars rebuilding the volare sub? I also have to keep in mind that my OEM is 110 inch wheelbase and the PKup frame with the volare sub on it already is 108 1/2 inch.
and thats my update, I have been lazy!
No brainer there. Just think no working to take the volare apart to rebuild, no waiting for 6 friends to lift the body off and on or no rigging up a set up to do same, no finding more work to do "while your'e there" no surprises on the Volare install (unless you did it ),no 35 year old technology parts to buy, many choices of upgrades like airbags, coilovers, etc on the Mii, everything will be new. And of course, replacement parts in the future if needed. And, btw, you are "asking again" but that is why we are here. Chat with you next year, LOL.

Kazoo, I hear you, she prolly would, so I bought heer a 63 Futura Ragtop last fall and she is learning it now. It is her new pride and she tells all about it even though she knows not a 6 bangr from a v8.
Rusty, I did find a 54 finally just 2 weeks ago and the lonely thing followed me home so , yeah, I guess I have a new project.
Cherrybomb, good new, lokking forward to watching you on your build. Welcome back.
