Will the factory distributer work without the computer?
So I got a 351w from a crown vic that was a carb motor with the variable venturi carb (junk). Since this motor is an egr motor I'm taking that off along with the carb/intake and converting it to and non-egr. Will the factory distrubiter work for the motor until I can upgrade? It has a 3 plug connector on it but the motor was literaly cut out of the car so I'm not sure what the wires are for. I assume power ground and signal? Will something like a msd 6a box work for the dis inplace of the computer? thanks
